Multiple Carrier Interface

The Beacon supports multiple voice platforms ensuring seamless support over wired and wireless communication networks. Conventional analog and digital telephone networks, VHF/UHF radios, VOIP and PA Systems are few of the supported platforms.

Variable Compression Rates

The advanced Compression codecs deployed by the Beacon ensures tamper-proof voice files and increased storage capability. Wide arrays of user configurable codecs are built-in to suit specific technical prerequisites.

Direct Write Option on Multiple Media

The Beacon can write and read voice data on to HDD and optical media alike, enabling fast cascade and replacement of media. This advanced feature ensures that voice files can be archived and stored with minimal computer or software knowledge. This also facilitates remote installation.

Web-based Administration

The Beacon is deployed on a web-enabled interface allowing access to voice data remotely from anywhere around the globe. This provides remote login capabilities through the internet/intranet for one-touch administration. Voice data can also be retrieved and listened-to remotely. The Beacon has a remote live monitoring feature, which enables real-time administration of voice traffic.

Secure Access, Audit trail and Tamper Warning

Access to the Beacon software and servers are monitored using finegrained controls. Multi-level alphanumeric passwords can be set for access to various levels and functions. Multi-user access control provides easy grouping and administration of voice channels, which ensures comprehensive user-management capability. This enables you to control and assign each user profile with tailor-made multi-tasking capabilities. The Beacon arms you with an array of proprietary algorithms, ensuring the safety of valuable and mission critical information. All voice files are digitally signed to ensure tamper-proof data. Tamper warning prompts and alarms are also provided as optional features.

Rugged Design

Built on a 19-inch rack-mountable chassis, the Beacon is designed for year round uninterrupted operation. The server is equipped with a redundant advanced power supply system suitable to withstand power fluctuations, especially in remote locations.

Multiple User-level Access

Multiple user-level access control provides easy grouping and administration of voice channels, which ensures comprehensive user-management capability. This enables control and assignation of each user profile with custom allocated multi-tasking capabilities.

Multiple Storage and Archive options

The proprietary compression rates provide large storage capabilities, which allow efficient and speedy archiving of valuable voice files. Default storage capacity is over 15,000 hours on a 120 GB hard disk drive which can be enhanced to 50,000 hours internally or to any amount on NAS. Hardware RAID is available as an option.

Beacon has the following archiving capabilities:

  • Multiple Archive media support for secondary Archiving CD, DVD, DAT Drive, MO Disk, Disk Array
  • Hot buttons for Archiving
  • Multiple Archiving
  • Scheduled Archiving
  • Remote FTP Archiving

Mobile and Lighter Versions

The Beacon is available in lighter and mobile versions. The Vox Zigma Beacon is built around a desktop architecture. The VoxMate Beacon is a compact voice logger with a 4- channel capacity using a USB interface. Being lightweight the VoxMate Beacon is ideal for mobile voice logging.

Auto Live Monitoring

This feature enables the user to automatically activate live monitoring and listen in on calls that originate from or land on a particular extension or external number. The User can set predefined criteria for auto live monitoring, and when an incoming or outgoing call meets any of the criteria, the live monitoring will be automatically activated. In addition, the user will be notified about the call activity via audio-visual alerts.

The user can configure auto live monitoring option with respect to telephone numbers, extensions, agent ID, call duration and also specify whether the call is to be live monitored for incoming call, outgoing calls or both.

Transcription Module

DGVOX transcription module provides a common platform for call listening and transcribing. Transcription module integrates a notepad within the playback window. This helps users to listen in on the call and simultaneously type the call contents, without having to switch between the windows. The feature comes with controls to pause, stop, rewind and forward the audio files, while typing.

File Merging

DGVOX allows user to easily and quickly merge two or more audio files to create a single output file. Users can select the files and specify the sequence in which they should be merged. The final output file plays back the recording in the sequence the files were merged.

Dial in for Playback

This feature allows the authorized users to remotely dial into DGVOX via a telephone and access the recorded files. An inbuilt user friendly Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) will guide the callers to search and access the voice files. Callers will be able to play the files via remote connection as well as pause, forward, rewind and repeat the voice file. The system provides option to email the recorded files as attachments to predefined email IDs. All activities of the dial-in-caller can be logged and tagged for future references. Only authorized Users and Numbers will be able to access the recordings.
