Vox Spectrum provides intelligent redundant voice logging dual decks for maritime security monitoring on wireless platform.
The Customer

A large port in India, which serves as the nerve center for trade to and from the country. It is known for the high volume of cargo it handles, which calls for technological precision & state-of-the-art facilities.

The Challenge

The customer has to deal with a wide spectrum of frequencies of wireless communication and multiple wireless networks dedicated to monitoring maritime communication and security of its highly secured premises.

These voice communications on vast networks are required to be recorded and monitored 24/7. The entire monitoring process had to be centralized on a single server with complete and fail-safe redundancy. The redundant system should be intelligent to asses any failure & boot up automatically to avoid data loss.

They requested Vox Spectrum to provide a solution capable of integrating seamlessly with existing network backbone & should be future proof.
 The Solution

Vox Spectrum engineers analyzed the customer's  requirements and designed a centralized voice logging  solution that could be interfaced with the existing  wireless platforms.

Vox Spectrum's DGVOX, Dual Deck series of Industrial  server loggers were deployed equipped with recording  interfaces for wireless channels. This customized  solution has recording redundancy apart from the  traditional data and power redundancy. It was  intelligent enough to automatically boot up the  secondary system in case of failure of the primary  system, ensuring secure 24/7 operation.

These voice loggers monitored the complete spectrum  of wireless channels dedicated to maritime  communication and internal security, enabling the  customer to have a centralized unit for live monitoring  and reporting functions.

The solution had been deployed in 2006 and has been  functioning to the satisfaction of the customer
