Vox Spectrum provides Compact, light weight Voice Loggers for centralized monitoring of distributed wireless interception mobile units on W-LAN

The Customer

A Regional Command Centre of a large defence force of a big country. It is among the world's most sophisticated armed forces.

The Challenge

The customer has mobile field units deployed for intercepting wireless communication on a vast geographical area. The intercepted audio needs to be recorded, stored & monitored for security purpose. The storage & monitoring had to be possible on
a remote location and centrally available for surveillance and defense purposes.

The challenge was to have compact & portable voice logging solution which could be carried on the mobile field units and have the acquired data transmitted over W-LAN for centralized monitoring. They requested Vox Spectrum to provide a solution.
The Solution

Vox Spectrum engineers analyzed the customer's requirements and designed a cost-effective yet compact & portable solution with remote accessibility.

VoxMate, Vox Spectrum's portable compact voice loggers were used by the mobile units to capture the intercepted voice conversations. VoxMate weighed only 200 grams, could record upto 4 channels. VoxMate was connected to a laptop through a convenient USB interface for storage and monitoring.

These laptops were connected to the central monitoring station through a W-LAN. The conversations recorded by VoxMate at the remote mobile units were thus instantaneously transmitted to the central monitoring station over the W-LAN.

At the central monitoring station, the customer saw a single interface displaying the information from all VoxMate units distributed across various locations. This enables them to simultaneously monitor all locations and also have a centralized backup storage of the recordings.

The customer has since placed additional orders for this solution.
